About the WorkshopDeepen your practice with Jessica! She'll give an informative and interactive workshop on the "bandhas" — what are they, and how can you better access and use them in practice, and in everyday life?
The workshop will consist of discussion, breathing practice, and a complementary asana sequence rooted in the Ashtanga tradition. We will close with conversation and questions and answers. Mula and uddiyana bandha are necessary components of breathing and engaging the body correctly in the asanas. "Bandha" means lock or bind, and refers to holding the body’s strength and energy together at the root (mula bandha), located at the base of the spine and pelvic floor, and into the waist (uddiyana bandha). Correct application of these two bandhas significantly increases the benefits of both the asanas and the breathing. |
